Local gameplay and optional Google Play Games

Algol stores progress, scores, discoveries, inventory, settings, and the current run on your device. It does not offer chat, multiplayer, user-generated content, or in-app purchases. You can play offline.

On supported Android devices, Google Play Games can sign you in using your Google account. Algol uses the Play Games player ID, gamer name and profile image to show your connected profile, and can submit genuine game achievements and qualifying scores. Google operates the achievement and leaderboard interfaces, which may show your gamer profile to other players according to Google settings.

Cloud backup through Google Play Games Saved Games is optional. When you enable it, a complete gameplay snapshot is sent to Google's app-specific Saved Games storage. Device and cloud saves are kept as coherent snapshots; conflicts require an explicit choice. You can pause backup, reset local progress, or reset the cloud save separately in Profile & Cloud. Local recovery copies may remain after a reset to protect against accidental loss. Clearing Algol's app storage removes those local copies. Manage your Google gaming data through Google's Play Games controls. Google applies its privacy policy.

Advertising

Algol is a gravity and merge game for a general audience aged 13 and older, not intentionally directed to children. You can play without advertising. Banners are eligible on the main menu, Atlas, and in a separate strip above gameplay controls when space permits. They are hidden during pause screens, privacy dialogs, other blocking dialogs and fullscreen ads. Rewarded ads are optional and offer the reward shown before you choose to watch.

Advertising is provided by Unity LevelPlay, ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. These services may collect and share device and app information, identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service operation. Unity Ads also declares collection and sharing of purchase-history information. Algol has no in-app purchases and does not supply gameplay inventory or energy balances as purchase data. Algol sends an advertising-ID opt-out signal for Basic ads. Choosing Personalized permits advertising-ID access. Basic ads send a do-not-sell/share signal. Algol is not configured as child-directed or mixed audience. No AdMob network is enabled.

Read the providers' Unity privacy policy and ironSource privacy information, plus the Unity Ads SDK data disclosure. Provider-controlled retention and privacy rights are described there. Algol does not send gameplay save contents, boost balances or Google Play Games identifiers to the advertising SDK.

Your advertising choice

Before the ad SDK initializes, Algol asks for a privacy choice. Nothing is preselected. You can choose Personalized ads, Basic / Contextual ads, or continue without ads. Personalized permits the described device-data collection and sharing for personalized advertising, delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Basic opts out of personalization while retaining eligible banners and optional rewarded ads with the same reward rules. Contextual ads still process data needed for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention; they are not data-free. Algol integrates ironSource Ads and Unity Ads through its existing LevelPlay mediation layer, which selects eligible configured sources. Ad availability depends on the provider and inventory, and is not guaranteed.

Algol requests a privacy-framework classification from its HTTPS service before applying the reviewed US opt-out route. Cloudflare derives the country from the connection IP; the response contains only the framework, and Algol does not store an IP address or precise location for this lookup. In other or unknown regions, including the EEA, Basic ads require a separate affirmative permission for device access before SDK initialization. If this permission is declined, the option is Continue without ads and no new ad requests are made. Personalized selection explicitly includes device-access permission. In Settings > Privacy the stored selection is shown as Personalized, Basic / Contextual, or Ads disabled, and can be changed. Withdrawal stops new ad requests and hides or destroys loaded ads. An already initialized third-party SDK cannot necessarily be unloaded; the declined state also applies on the next launch.

The device stores the choice, policy version, decision time, and a random receipt. Algol does not ask for or store an age category, exact age or birth date. The record is separate from game progress, excluded from Android backup, and is not synchronized through Saved Games. An ordinary restart keeps the decision. A provider or policy update pauses previously allowed advertising until a new choice is made; an existing valid Ads disabled choice stays disabled. Reinstalling or clearing app data can require a new choice.

Service hosting

The privacy policy and regional classification endpoint are hosted by Cloudflare. The endpoint does not create accounts or store consent sessions. It uses Cloudflare's country classification transiently and returns a privacy framework without retaining the address or country in an Algol database. Cloudflare processes network information needed to deliver and protect the service under its privacy policy.

Retention, rights and contact

Local progress remains until you reset it, clear app storage or uninstall. Cloud gameplay data remains until reset or deleted through the applicable Google controls. A reset marker may remain to prevent stale data from silently restoring a reset save. Advertising providers control their own records under their policies.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact zuaros.dev@gmail.com for Zuaros-controlled records. We will verify requests without asking for unnecessary information. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out. Data may be processed outside your country by the service providers described above.

External links and changes

Atlas source links open external websites, which apply their own privacy practices. This policy will be updated when Algol's services change. A material change to advertising purposes, providers or consent wording requires a new in-app choice before previously allowed advertising resumes; an existing valid refusal remains effective.
